MIVO Foundation's impact has been felt not only in the town of L'estere but throughout the Haitian community. Since opening the Centre in July of 2014, approximately
8150 patients have been served and over 290 orthopedic surgeries have been performed.
Highlights

Hundreds of procedures including castings, splinting and wound management have been completed on our Haitian patients.

Over a thousand knee and shoulder steroid injections have been administered to those in need.

Thousands of patients have also been managed medically and provided with patient teaching such as demonstration of physical therapy exercises.

Our youngest patient was only months old with our oldest known patient being 101 glorious years young!

In January of 2016, we were able to provide nerve blocks and spinal anesthesia for higher acuity orthopedic surgeries.

Then in April of 2017, Dr. Etienne performed the first MIVO total joint replacements.

Medical mission teams from the United States along with our dedicated Haitian staff at the Centre have helped to make this all possible. Team sizes have grown from 3 to 20 and include medical professionals and support staff.

From a spiritual aspect, God's provision has made all of the above possible. We give God the glory for each and every patient that we can help in large or small ways, for each team member who comes to volunteer with us and for every supporter in the United States, be it financially, through donating supplies or through prayer support.

Patients and team members alike have been impacted by their time in Haiti. Some patients have accepted Christ and have made a formal confession of faith. Some of our volunteers have also found a new sense of faith in God. We, at The MIVO Foundation, are privileged and highly blessed to be used by God to advance His truth.
